With the grand reopening comes much reflection on Radiant Skin Dermatology and Laser and I’s 7 years together. From the support of the community and the team that has helped Radiant Skin thrive, I’m thankful for these 7 years and many more to come.
Radiant Skin Dermatology and Laser has grown immensely. It was time to use this opportunity to design a more beautiful, welcoming space and something that had my influence on it. With the help of my team, we created a space that meant when you walk in, you know you are in Radiant Skin Dermatology and Laser.
What The Grand Reopening Means to Me
I was in school for 30 years to get to this point. It’s a time of celebration. We worked hard for 7 years to serve the communities of Harlem, Washington Heights, and Midtown. Responding to the needs of the communities and supplying them with welcoming and quality care has been a large part of how successful we’ve been and how much growth we’ve achieved here. I wanted to show these communities that I was committed to handling their needs with care.
Proudest Moments As a Woman of Color in Dermatology
The fact that I’m still here and continue to be independent despite many other practices being bought is one of my proudest moments. I am proud that I’ve mentored many young people and am an inspiration for them. I take pride in my expertise in lasers for skin of color, with laser companies coming to me when needing that expertise.
Evolution of the Practice in 7 Years
In the beginning, I was doing general dermatology; acne treatment, rashes, hair loss. But because of people in the community asking for different services like coolsculpting, hair restoration and transplant, and many other services. The requests and support have allowed Radiant Skin Dermatology and Laser to grow in ways that I am thankful for.
There are a lot of amazing things in store for the next 7 years. My new skincare line ADM Skincare line is dropping soon. More services will be added to the list of services we already offer. The next 7 years will be even more fruitful than the last.
